The Children’s Commissioner for Jersey works to promote and protect the rights of children.

The Commissioner wanted to bring their recent research study to life, which tells the stories of children and young people in Jersey aged from 9-18. The goal was to create a film to give young people a voice.

Working with spoken word poet Christian Foley, a spoken word poem was created to tell the story of young peoples lives in Jersey. The words were taken from testimonials from the Life on the Rock project.

Creating a storyboard and producing the film, US worked alongside Ruben Abreu Videographer to film Christian and a selection of young people from across the island.

The film will be shown at the UNICEF Geneva conference in February 2023 as Jersey’s submission demonstrating a young persons life in Jersey.
